The internet can be a harsh, dehumanizing space... especially when it comes to displaying "18+" imagery!
In this episode, David Bollt and Kristy Jessica sit down to have a conversation about the importance of nude art, the nude art community and Model Society in the today’s world.
David founded Model Society as a place to celebrate the art of figurative nude photography, to embolden creatives and to create a community where this type of photography can be appreciated.
At 18, Kristy Jessica jumped into nude modeling. It was a bold step, especially with her religious upbringing that wasn't always supportive of such choices. But for her, modeling wasn't just about posing for pictures. It was a journey of self-discovery. She found a supportive community where she and other models could share their unique experiences. Kristy Jessica now models full-time and hosts the podcast, Sunrise Life.
David shares his back story, involving his history as a tattoo celebrity and how that transformed into artistic nude photography for him, and the reasons why he pursued fine art photography and created this community around it.
Together they go down the rabbit hole of transcending trauma through art, the differences between various model photography genres and their place in the world, and how art nude photography bridges gaps between humans of various walks of life.
This thought-provoking and enriching conversation is a treat for artists and fans alike.
